As the accountant in this company you will:

• Provide support to the Head of Accounting
• Lead the month-end process for all Greek entities and some offshore entities (Intercompany reconciliations, Bank reconciliations, VAT returns, Balance Sheet reconciliations, AP / AR function including making payments, Internal loan interest calculations, Assisting with data uploads into consolidation system )
• Liaise directly with the divisional and business unit finance teams
• Prepare the interim and year end statutory accounts
• Assist with administration of finance and tax matters
• Deal with multiple currencies
• Liaison with auditors
• Any other ad-hoc tasks as and when required

To be a good fit for this accountant position it would be nice to have:

• Bsc in Accounting or Finance
• Part-qualified or Finalist ACA/CIMA/ACCA or QBE accountant (or working towards)
• 7-9 years of relevant experience, particularly in month-end activities and balance sheet reconciliations, experience in a group reporting environment would be
• advantageous.
• Experienced Bookkeeper
• Bilingual- English/Greek
• Real Estate experience
• IFRS knowledge and demonstrable relevant experience
• Ability to work with limited supervision, to make decisions and work on own initiative.
• Strong IT skills including, Excel, PowerPoint.

• Produces accurate work and pays good attention to detail
• Highly organised, flexible and with strong attention to detail
• Presents self with professionalism in person and in writing
• Willingness to take on additional revenue generating or cost saving activities that may be beyond scope of role
• Has a good understanding of the impact of their work and takes action to improve own performance

• Takes initiative to solve problems and find solutions
• Works over and above individual responsibilities
