key responsibilities
As an investment controller your primary responsibilities will be:
- Managing and optimizing a company’s investments
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with business goals.
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support investment decisions.
- Identify and assess new investment opportunities.
- Analyze financial statements, market trends, and macroeconomic factors.
- Monitor portfolio performance and evaluate risks associated with investments.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Work closely with shareholders, executives, and financial teams.
- Prepare detailed investment reports and presentations for senior management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting related to investment activities.
- Track industry trends, competitor activities, and economic developments.
- Assess potential mergers, acquisitions, and divestments.
- Recommend strategic adjustments based on market insights.
qualifications
The ideal candidate for this investment controller position should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or in a quantitative field of study
- Master degree in Finance
- Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA, CPA) and/or in financial modelling are a plus.
- 5-8 years of experience in investment analysis (deals/transactions/restructuring/corporate finance department of a big 4 company or investment firm or bank).
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, valuation techniques & business planning (Technical capacity to build/modify complex financial models)
- Expertise in investment analysis, risk assessment, and strategic planning.
- Very good understanding of Corporate Finance principles
- Fluency in English is a must, fluency in Greek is essential
- Excellent Knowledge of MS Office package

- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Team-player with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders
