key responsibilities
As a POS Developer position, your duties will be the following:
- Develop and maintain user interfaces and core functionalities for EFT/POS applications that ensure secure payment processing
- Design application specifications (including sequence and state-transition diagrams) and participate in architectural reviews
- Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive unit tests as part of integration activities
- Analyze bug reports and drive the resolution process to ensure seamless functionality
- Collaborate closely with QA teams to develop and uphold robust test cases
- Assist in project estimation and task planning to meet quality and deadline targets
- Foster effective communication within a high-intensity, team-oriented environment while continuously pursuing process improvements
qualifications
In order for your profile to match this POS Developer position, you need to have the following:
- Excellent command of programming languages such as Java and Kotlin
- Extensive experience with Android SDK and Android Studio
- Proven track record in developing and publishing Android applications on the Google Play Store
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services integration. Solid understanding of structured programming and object-oriented design patterns
- 2+ years of experience developing POS applications in an Android environment
- Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Experience with secure coding practices, unit testing, and test-driven development (TDD). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Degree in IT or related field
- Military obligations fulfilled, if applicable
