As a Power Trader you will be:

• Responsible for the purchase and sale of electrical energy in the Southeast Europe to cover the needs of the Group’s production plants (participation in the day-head, intraday, balancing markets and cross-border auctions)
• Scheduling of all physical positions
• Responsible for the daily, weekly, monthly and annual creation of P&L and KPI reports
• Carry out wholesale market analysis and reports concerning electrical energy markets trends(futures, natural gas, EU Emissions Allowances, etc)
• Responsible for the successful invoice and contract execution
• Responsible for the settlement of both physical and financial contracts
• Keep up-to-date with the relevant regulations, rules and policies and market developments in the respective countries
• Support the development and presentation of energy management strategies
• Support budgeting forecasting

The ideal candidate for the role of the Power Trader, should have the following qualifications:

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics or Business, or in a related field of study
• 2-3 years of professional experience in power trading
• Strong interest and passion in energy, economic and policy analysis
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and make decisions in a pressured environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel is required
• Experience in computer programming (Python, VBA etc.) is desirable but not mandatory
• Proficiency in English is a must
• Energetic and positive
• Be flexible and straightforward
• Be a team player, highly collaborative
• Be diligent, able to maintain performance under pressure, does not feel overwhelmed
• Be able to multi-task and prioritize work, devise and execute plans to meet tight deadlines
• Be analytical, with a strong balance of tactical and operational capabilities
• International mindset. Comfortable working across cultural boundaries
