The responsibilities of the Demand Planner include
- Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation (Product family, SKU) for multiple time horizons (Weekly, Monthly)
- Review sales trends (historical and recent), research demand drivers, prepare forecast data and evaluate forecast results
- Accountable for the internal Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by presenting data, consolidating input from different functions and providing narratives
- Evaluate and challenge sales & promotional activity plans with the commercial team in order to achieve accurate forecasting results & optimized purchasing plans
- Monitor and report on key variations/changes in sales forecasts, budgets and business strategies
- Develop inventory policies and shipment/order plans in order to maintain high customer service, while meeting brand inventory targets and reducing excess and obsolete stock
- Support management with risk assessments and mitigation action plans and activities
- Assume direct responsibility for the Demand Planning process of a consensus company forecast for assigned categories
- Monitor performance KPI’s to ensure optimal operation of processes and makes recommendations to improve performance
- Participate in cross-functional Projects and New Launches
προσόντα
The ideal candidate should have:
- BSc degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field. Supply planning role will be considered as an asset
- Solid understanding of end to end supply chain activities APICS or other forecasting certification preferred
- Working knowledge of software related to demand planning (SAP)Demonstrate knowledge of S&OP and the demand planning process
