Your responsibilities as an Environmental Engineer include:

• Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System (EMS) at the plant.
• Analyze and propose enhancements based on Best Environmental Practices, Sustainable Development, and the Circular Economy
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Terms (AEP) and relevant environmental regulations
• Manage all aspects of Waste Management, including hazardous waste storage, disposal, reduction strategies, and recycling
• Develop, monitor, and review Environmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with sustainability goals
• Lead negotiations and maintain relationships with Waste Management and Recycling Contractors
• Communication and co-operation with Public Authorities and governmental environmental bodies
• Coordinate, document, and manage all activities related to Environmental Compliance, ensuring proper reporting and internal auditing
• Collaboration with DGSTC (Dangerous Goods Safe Transport Consultant) to ensure the safe transport of hazardous goods and implement best practices
• Collect and analyze data for the Sustainability Report (ESG reporting) and develop Non-Financial Key Performance Indicators (NFKPIs)

The ideal candidate should have:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
• Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 or similar) is a plus.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste management and recycling systems.

• Ability to understand and implement environmental regulations and environmental management best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders internally and externally
• Ability to implement and monitor performance indicators for environmental goals

• Experience in environmental management, sustainability practices, or waste management
