The selected individual for the Head of Pharmaceutical Production position will be expected to:

• Lead and monitor the allocation of tasks to production, packaging and warehouse logisticspersonnel, ensuring that operations meet business needs, adhere to stringent pharmaceuticalstandards, and optimize costs.
• Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including in-process checks, ensuring compliancewith GMP, SOPs, Marketing Authorization and pharmaceutical quality standards.
• Manage the issue and reconciliation of materials and labels, ensuring full traceability, compliancewith pharmaceutical regulations, and cost efficiency.
• Minimize reject rates by enforcing strict adherence to quality protocols and proactively resolving anyissues that arise, thereby optimizing production costs.
• Conduct daily production planning, briefings and setup checks to ensure team preparedness andcorrect initiation of operations.
• Oversee in-process control sampling procedures to ensure they comply with pharmaceutical standards and contribute to overall product quality.
• Review and approve executed batch records daily and at the end of operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance with documentation standards, and cost-effective operations. 
• Act as the ultimate process owner, taking full responsibility for the quality, safety, and compliance ofall production activities.
• Maintain a visible leadership presence in all production areas to monitor compliance with EU cGMP,SOPs, and pharmaceutical-grade housekeeping standard.
• Oversee the storage and handling of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products within thewarehouse, ensuring compliance with GMP and SOPs. 
• Supervise material receipt, storage, and dispatch processes to ensure compliance with regulatoryand quality standards. 
• Assess and manage team resources to ensure sufficient, trained personnel are available to meetproduction demands, maintain EU cGMP compliance, and distribute tasks efficiently to optimizeproductivity and cost-effectiveness.
• Actively participate in the recruitment and selection process to ensure new hires meet the rigorousstandards required for pharmaceutical production.
• Serve as the key trainer and mentor within the team, providing guidance and support to buildexpertise and ensure that all personnel are competent in pharmaceutical-grade productionprocesses.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure that all products meet the higheststandards of quality, safety, and efficacy as required in the pharmaceutical industry. 

The ideal candidate for the Head of Pharmaceutical Production position will be an experienced professional in the pharmaceutical sector with the desire to grow in an innovative and dynamic organization and must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical, Sciences, Chemical Engineering,or a related field.
• A Master’s degree is preferred. 
• In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), EU cGMP, and other relevant pharmaceutical regulations.
• Proven experience leading production operations in a pharmaceutical-grade environment.
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing teams in a highly regulated industry.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing production challenges in a pharmaceutical context.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing pharmaceutical regulations and industry standards.
