The main responsibilities regarding the Head of Scientific Projects position would be the following: 

• Ensures that all RFQs are addressed and reviewed in a timely manner, before providing them to the Business Development department.
• Ensures coordination of the assigned projects and manages each site’s project portfolio.
• Maintains and develops strong customer relationships.
• Ensures that all transfer products are coordinated between clients and/or internal transfers according to the company's project management standards.
• Develops and manages appropriate project plans, including identifying and allocating resources, budgets, timelines and milestones, and leads the project process: project initiation, planning, periodic meetings, milestones.
• Implements action plans, as needed, in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinates and tracks time, costs and quality to smooth the transfer for routine production.
• Manages the relationship between clients, corporate functions and the Project Team.
• Ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget and that they meet all project requirements, checks that quotation assumptions are met in order to safeguard their contribution to the BU financial results.
• Oversees all aspects of projects, including requirements, development, testing, deployment and documentation.
• Prepares reports for senior management and clients on the status of projects.
• Makes appropriate changes to project plans and communicates to all parties involved, ensuring that the commitment and impact of delivery is understood.
• Interacts with client representatives to track project status and progress.
• Identifies needs to address existing and potential problems and risks.
• Leads and organizes the Technical Services Steering Committee.
• Guarantees that all the activities of his/her area are carried out under GMP, ISO and related Quality directives.
• Complies with and ensures compliance with the Health, Safety and Environmental standards established by current legislation and the Company's standards in his/her area of responsibility.
• Ensures annual ISO 14.001 and OSHAS 18000 revalidation in his/her area of responsibility.
• Studies, prepares and executes the budget of his/her area in collaboration with the Finance Department and the Management of the BUs.
• Organizes and coordinates the Technical Services team in order to create a positive work environment and achieve maximum efficiency and creativity.
• Carries out the company's HR policies for his/her team (recruitment, induction, training and development).
• Develops the training plan for his/her team in collaboration with the Human Resources Department.
• Motivates and develops the staff of his/her team according to the needs of the individuals and the business.
• Distributes the work and organize his/her team, ensuring the achievement of results and compliance with the established standards.
• Ensures the effective flow of information between employees in the Technical Services area and other departments, transmitting the company's policy and values.

The ideal candidate for the Head of Scientific Projects position will acquire the following: 

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Economics or other Life Science.
• A scientific Master degree is considered an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Excellent use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strategic thinking skills.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and maintain detailed project plans, budgets and timelines.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities and a proactive approach to project challenges.
• General financial awareness.
• Strong account management skills.
• Enthusiastic and well-informed, dynamic and proactive with a “can do” attitude.
• Possesses strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong team working abilities, developing effective working relationships with both customers and other departments.
• Ability to systematically question and challenge the status quo to drive improved results, with a well thought-through manner.
• Flexible, open minded and result-oriented.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Training or working knowledge in Project Management, project management certification (PMP or similar) is a plus.
