As SOC Director, you will report directly to the company’s General Manager (GM), taking charge of the SOC’s strategic direction and operations. You will drive key initiatives to strengthen the organization’s security posture and safeguard critical assets. Additionally, you will lead a skilled team focused on monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to emerging cybersecurity threats within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

More specifically:

• Align the SOC’s mission with organizational goals, creating and implementing operational policies and guidelines that drive excellence
• Mentor and guide SOC teams, ensuring continuous development and keeping ahead of emerging threats through training, performance reviews, and the latest cybersecurity technologies
• Oversee the timely detection, escalation, and resolution of security incidents, and create robust protocols for threat hunting, forensic analysis, and incident response
• Evaluate and implement advanced security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms, ensuring seamless integration across IT systems
• Act as the go-to point for critical incidents, coordinate resources effectively, and lead post-incident reviews to drive improvements and lessons learned
• Integrate threat intelligence into SOC operations, collaborate with stakeholders, and develop risk prioritization and mitigation strategies
• Oversee compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001), deliver performance reports, and maintain audit readiness
• Stay ahead of emerging cybersecurity threats and foster a culture of innovation within the SOC team

In order for your profile to match the SOC Director position, you need to have a combination of technical and soft skills. Specifically:

• Hands on experience in cybersecurity, with proven expertise in leading SOC operations
• Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of SOC tools such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
• Experience in budget planning and resource allocation for SOC operations
• Relevant certifications like CISSP, CISM, or GIAC highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage incidents, and drive continuous improvement
• Expertise in handling high-pressure situations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across both business and technical teams
